A delegation from Shanghai Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) visited the North East on 29th May 2009. The purpose of the visit is to explore opportunities of cooperation in Green IT, Digital Urban Living, and Assisted Living between the two regions.

The delegates, who were invited by One NorthEast, had meetings with academics and business managers in Teesside University, Sunderland University and Newcastle University. With the help of the interpreter from CBA, the representatives of these universities provided the visitors with a comprehensive overview of the initiatives within our region. Amazed by the technologies and their commercial potential, the delegates showed great interest and wanted very much to cooperate with the universities.
