About Us

Being a business network, with the aim of bridging Chinese and British companies in the northeast UK, CBA offers support and assistance to all Chinese and British members and represents them as a collective body. Its aims include encouraging business initiatives and ideas and promoting good business practices. CBA also actively encourages companies to work more closely with each other to develop inter-trading connections. CBA is dedicated to providing ongoing support and promotion for the business community.

The objectives of the CBA are:

  • To provide and encourage informal links between businesses and the wide community in North East area and to stimulate the establishment of personal contacts, the exchange of views, experiences and ideas for the mutual benefit of the members.
  • To promote the Association as representing the best of its members and to provide a voice to articulate the needs and concern of the members.
  • To provide a focal point of contact for outside agencies wishing to communicate with Chinese business and to provide representation from the Association at events where it would be of benefit to the Association to do so.
  • To encourage inter-trading between the Association members and to provide and maintain a Trade Directory containing details of the Association members and their products and services.
  • To produce and circulate a regular publication or newsletter covering members' activities and other items worthy of publication.
  • To organise regular members meetings which address issues of interest to the members and guests and to organise occasional social events.
  • To participate with other Business Clubs in joint events as deemed beneficial to the Association's members.
  • To provide an efficient and economical organisation to further the above listed items and to serve the interests of the members in whatever way they determine is of value to them.
  • To help to promote and encourage training and development programmes to the wider community and to under-represented groups.

Networking

The regular meetings offer the perfect platform to meet and discuss business opportunities and to encourage inter-trading between Chinese companies and British companies. The monthly meetings take place in a friendly atmosphere and provide members with informative presentations about various business related issues. Most seminars and meetings are free of charge to members and their guests. All representatives of member companies are welcome to attend club meetings and each member may bring up to two guests.

Social Events

Through social events organised by the CBA, members will find they are not only enjoying themselves but also sharing information and possibly finding some new business opportunities.

Website

All members are automatically included in the Members Directory on the CBA website, www.cba-online.org.uk and where possible a hyperlink is used to link directly to their sites.

Newsletters

The CBA's newsletters are published quarterly and distributed free of charge. If you would like to subscribe to the newsletters, please contact us.
